Michael (“Norm”) Norman

Director of HR
Michael Norman

In 2011 Norm joined our MVP Family in an entry-level technical role. In 2013 we decided to stand up a Help Desk department, and he was tagged in to develop and lead it. In 2021 that had grown, morphed, and expanded into Partner Support, and was handed off to the capable hands of our VP of Service Delivery, Adam Hilton. This opened up Norm to step back into a new role as Director of HR. Norm affirms, “As proud of what we did in Partner Support, I am even more excited to get into HR.” It is exactly in line with his ‘why’ which is “To help as many people as possible be as successful as they are motivated to be.” This new role will offer him the opportunity to do just that, not just for the techs, but for all of MVP.

His goal is to provide support to our top level technical and administrative talent, from on-boarding to retirement, while also fostering an environment that allows them to work effectively and efficiently. He takes being a Director as an opportunity to serve. Servant leadership may be non-standard, but he sees it as the only way to provide elite level support at a price point that is relative to our market. “I take the term ‘Community Based Troubleshooting’ to heart. If we’re all working together, we can tackle any sized challenge with ease. And there’s no reason we can’t have a little fun while doing it.”

In his personal life, his primary focus is his family. He is happily married to his wonderful wife with whom he has three children; two adorable princesses as daughters and a sweet little prince as a son. He also enjoys going to the movies, reading, and sampling new music using HiFi audio equipment. Still, don’t let any of this distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer’s table.
